The precinct

The stadium precinct will be a quality open space for additional forms of sport and entertainment.

The stadium precinct will:

  • provide quality open space for fan activations at sport and entertainment events
  • accommodate a range of cultural, sporting and recreational events and activities
  • allow for greater community access on non-event days, promoting the use of facilities
  • create opportunities for the community to connect.

Landscaping and public spaces

  • Native tree plantings will provide natural shelter and zoning across the precinct.
  • The western areas will be more inviting and accessible for community activities on non-event days.
  • Northwestern and Southwestern entry points will allow safe stadium access and align to existing crossings to Mulgoa Road.
  • The courts will host activation zones that create excitement for fans on arrival and enhance the overall gameday experience. The courts will also provide a space for activities such as basketball, netball, skateboarding and as a learn-to-ride space for children on non-event days.
  • The kids' zone in the northeast corner offers designated spaces for young visitors during events.
  • The training field remains available for sports teams' practice while also welcoming the community for kickabouts, on-leash dog walks, running and picnics outside of scheduled practices.
  • Relocating the carpark opens up space at the Northwestern entry for pedestrian access.
  • Improved walkways will connect Panthers Leagues club and nearby venues.

Pedestrian access

The design improves pedestrian access and circulation around the stadium, connecting it with surrounding clubs, car parks, and public transport hubs.

During event days, pedestrian access points in the northeast, northwest, and southwest will remain unchanged.

The site has easy access to ample non-event day parking, game day overlay parking, and bus stops, eliminating the need for additional on-site parking beyond operational needs.

The new design will:

  • reduce traffic congestion at main stadium entrances
  • create a public domain for fan zones and other activations during events
  • attract the community with enhanced amenities and activation in the western precinct on non-event days
  • offer off-street parking for officials on game days
  • provide smooth service access for the stadium and broadcast vehicles on game day
  • offer parking along Ransley and Station St, including taxi/ride share drop-off, disabled drop-off and parking.
