Accessibility
The future stadium will cater to the diverse needs of people.
The new stadium design accommodates:
- 148 seats for people with a disability and 150 companion seats in the eastern and western stands, a 300% increase in wheelchair accessible seating
- 18 universal access toilets for the public and 4 universal access toilets for staff, an 85% increase in wheelchair accessible toilets
- gender neutral player facilities
- food and beverage spaces and external viewing areas that meet accessible requirements to ensure equitable access.
A safe movement specialist was engaged to provide advice on the needs of ambulant users. The new stadium design will include:
- an augmented hearing system
- interior finishes to create a safe environment for neurodivergent and those with visual impairment
- eco-glo products to assist visually impaired spectators
- high contrast wayfinding into the interior and exterior design.
