Empowering futures at Penrith Stadium
John Holland’s project team hosted a group from the SydWest Job Readiness Program onsite for an inspiring day of learning, connection, and career exploration.
Delivered in partnership with SydWest Multicultural Services and TAFE NSW, the program supports newly arrived and culturally diverse individuals, including refugees and asylum seekers on their journey into the construction industry. The site visit offered participants a glimpse into the project environment, safety practices, and career pathways.
Local Western Sydney subcontractors Michael from Doolan Co, and Taariq from Cherrie Civil were invited to share their insights into construction career paths, and the importance of teamwork and resilience.
From safety briefings to guided tours, the visit was a powerful reminder of how inclusive employment initiatives can transform lives and communities. Thank you to the participants for bringing energy, curiosity, and ambition to the day.
