Construction update
Preliminary works to move a sewer main for the demolition of the western grandstand are nearing completion. The main construction works are currently underway. Site sheds, hoarding and fencing, and security cameras have all been installed, while the soft stripping of existing buildings is in progress.
Other upcoming construction activities include:
- delivery of equipment and materials to site
- structural demolition and waste removal
- heritage site investigations
- earthworks
- temporary relocation of the bus stop on Ransley Street toward Station Street
- establishing hardstand areas for cranes and piling platforms.
More light and heavy vehicle movement will be seen on Ransley Street and Station Street due to these activities. Some lanes on Station Street may temporarily close during the demolition of the eastern stand with traffic control measures in place to ensure safety for both vehicles and pedestrians.

- Monday to Friday, 7am to 6pm
- Saturday, 8am to 1pm.
