Behind the hoarding: Penrith Stadium in progress
Local contractor Doolan Co. has installed two large rainwater tanks on site. These tanks will harvest and reuse rainwater, helping to reduce water consumption and support a more sustainable operation. This installation marks another step towards delivering environmentally responsible projects that contribute to a greener future.
Construction has also started on two new recovery pool spaces in the western stand. Each recovery pool space contains a hot and cold pool, designed to support athlete rehabilitation and conditioning, helping players stay at their best throughout the season. The recovery pools will be located within the new player facilities, alongside new changerooms and amenities and a multi purpose space.
The first concrete pour for the western and eastern grandstands occurred earlier this month, marking the start of major structural works. Steel to be used for the structure is being fabricated off-site and over the next few months will be installed for grandstand framing and superstructure. The first steel raker beam was installed on the eastern grandstand in mid-November showcasing the new steeper grandstand designed to maximise seating capacity and improve sightlines to both the field and stage areas.
