The grandstands

The new grandstands provide more seating and clear sightlines to the field or stage, creating a better viewing experience. Fans will also benefit from more food and drink options, and improved amenities.

The stadium will deliver more than 450 toilets, improving access and reducing wait times. This includes male, female, all-ability and unisex facilities, providing a more comfortable and accessible experience for all visitors. 

The red outline illustrates the original gradient of the existing grandstands before demolition, while the black outline shows the new, steeper grandstands designed to maximise seating capacity and improve sightlines to both the field and stage areas.

Stadium layout

Eastern grandstand

The eastern grandstand will seat General Admission. Food and beverage options, along with toilet facilities will be available on the concourse level. The concourse also offers covered views to the field of play, keeping fans connected to the game. 

The lower tier features a section designed for all-ability access to meet accessibility requirements. Handrails will be situated in the centre of the aisle, in line with relevant safety and accessibility standards.  

Western grandstand

The western grandstand features corporate suites, media boxes and function rooms. Additionally, there will be an expanded selection of food and beverage options, along with toilet facilities and lift access to all levels. 

This level contains:

  • a main kitchen
  • back-of-house offices
  • administrative areas
  • player facilities, including team locker rooms.

The members concourse will seat members and premium General Admission.  

Food and beverage options, along with toilet facilities will be available for premium General Admission and members seated in the lower west tier.  

The concourse offers views to the field of play, enhancing the atmosphere and keeping fans connected to the game. 

There is also a central Island Bar on the concourse, with views over the field of play.

This level will include: 

  • a large function room for hosting cocktail or banquet type events on both event and non-event days (400-person capacity) 
  • 2 open air terraces on either end of the lounge 
  • dedicated toilets facilities.

This level contains: 

  • 31 suites or corporate boxes, including a larger central super suite 
  • a finishing kitchen with direct access to the goods lift to service the suites 
  • a small food and beverage outlet to allow patrons to purchase their own food or beverages 
  • dedicated toilets facilities. 

This level contains the media and operations boxes, including: 

  • a camera deck 
  • 2 officials boxes 
  • 2 coaches boxes 
  • 3 radio boxes 
  • 2 commentary boxes 
  • a larger written press box 
  • a larger operations and production box 
  • 2 premium lounges at either end of the level as a corporate hospitality offering (200-person capacity) 
  • small food and beverage outlets 
  • dedicated toilet facilities.
