Topping out: Celebrating milestones

The new Penrith Stadium is taking shape, with the western grandstand now topped out.

Topping out means the stadium has reached its highest point of construction and is a chance to recognise the thousands of construction workers delivering Western Sydney’s premier sporting and entertainment precinct.

Over 1,100 workers have been inducted on site to date, providing essential construction jobs in the region.

The western grandstand will feature:

  • modern media and broadcast facilities
  • upgraded player amenities, including changerooms that can host women and men’s matches, and recovery pools
  • corporate suites and flexible function spaces
  • facilities to support year-round events, including kitchen and back-of-house amenities
expanded food and beverage options, along with more toilet facilities.

Over the coming months, construction will focus on continuing fit-out of the grandstands, as well as completing the roof installation over both the eastern and western grandstands.

Fun fact: The native Eucalyptus Racemosa used at the topping out ceremony will be planted within the Penrith Stadium precinct.
