Inspiring the next generation of Women in Construction

John Holland team members participated in The Management Edge, Women in Construction Program in collaboration with Regional Industry Education Partnerships, helping to inspire and inform the next generation of industry professionals.

Janice, Project Engineer, and Angelica, Design Coordinator, presented to the students about their roles on the project and shared their career journeys. Through honest reflections on their experiences, challenges and achievements, Janice and Angelica highlighted the many opportunities available across engineering, design and project delivery.

The session aimed to broaden students' understanding of the construction sector and showcase the wide range of careers that contribute to building and delivering major projects. By sharing their stories, Janice and Angelica demonstrated that there is no single pathway into the industry and encouraged participants to explore careers that align with their interests and strengths.

The project is proud to support initiatives that raise awareness of the opportunities available in construction, inspire future talent, and help build a stronger, more diverse workforce. These programs give young women the confidence to see themselves in the industry and explore the many rewarding career pathways it offers.
