Community consultation for Penrith Stadium underway

The NSW Government unveiled the design concept for the Penrith Stadium in January 2024 following community consultation from 2022 to share the vision for the redevelopment of the stadium. 

The community has been actively involved in shaping the redevelopment design of the stadium so far, and there will be further opportunity for the community to provide feedback during the public exhibition period of the State Significant Development Application (SSDA) process.

As part of the SSDA process, an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) is currently being prepared to be lodged with the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure. The EIS assesses the potential environmental and other impacts of the project and outlines the way they can be minimised or mitigated.

The EIS is expected to be on public exhibition in the coming months for the community to view the plans in detail, understand the expected impacts and proposed mitigations, and make a submission. A response to the submissions report will be prepared following this process.
