Classroom to construction
Penrith Stadium welcomed Year 10 student Chloe Maclean from CathWest Innovation College to site for a week of work experience.
The Emu Plains college is known for helping students develop practical, job-ready skills, and Chloe is already showing strong potential, starting her days early with a 5:15am pickup to be on site.
Chloe worked alongside John Holland on the eastern grandstand, under the guidance of foreman Adam Ryan. She approached each task with enthusiasm, a willingness to learn and a natural aptitude that quickly stood out.
Over the week, Chloe gained valuable hands-on experience in a live construction environment, building confidence and practical skills. Her proactive approach, positive attitude and strong work ethic made her a valued member of the team.
The Penrith Stadium project is proud to support young people like Chloe as they explore future career pathways in the construction industry.
