A welcoming arrival: how the eastern concourse is transforming the visitor experience

The highly anticipated new Penrith Stadium focuses on fan comfort, accessibility, and an enhanced game-day experience. One of the stadium’s standout feature is the eastern concourse.

Positioned beneath the eastern grandstand, the eastern concourse forms the stadium’s primary public frontage and arrival experience. Designed as an active, covered space, it will be used year-round, supporting match days and major events.

The wide, level concourse layout has been carefully planned to support smooth crowd flow. Step-free access, clear wayfinding and generous circulation space make it easier for people of all ages and abilities to move comfortably and safely through the stadium.

From the concourse, fans will enjoy viewing points that offer uninterrupted sightlines to the field. The modern architectural design allows spectators to take in the atmosphere and follow every moment of the action without having to leave the space.

The eastern concourse has also been designed to improve convenience. Multiple food and beverage outlets and quick-service counters are integrated along the concourse, alongside an increased number of bathrooms. Together, these features are designed to reduce queues and ensure fans can grab food or drinks without missing a minute of the action.
